Woodworth Financial On interactive exercises…While I had the Otto VonBismark slide on the screen, I asked the audience to design a retirement plan. This interactive exercise worked really well - the group came up with 90 as the retirement age. When the Webster's definition of retirement was on the screen, I asked the group "So what do you tell people if you do not want to tell them you are retired based on this definition?" They could not come up with an answer. However, they were certain that they were not retired based on that definition! There was unanimous agreement that we needed a new definition for the lifestage we are currently calling retirement that they are in now. Donald Todd
